H&R Block Fundraiser!

TAX SEASON HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO JULY 15!!

Due to this extension you still have time to support Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury by visiting your local H&R block!  If you are a new customer (who did not go to H&R block last year for tax services) and file your taxes with them this year, mention or show them the flyer below and they will donate $20 to our organization!

Open House at our NEW Tutoring Space!!!

Come check out our new tutor space at 15 Boyden St. (2nd Floor Room 3)!  We will be offering 2 times to visit: 11:30 – 2 pm and 4:30-7 pm.  Light refreshments will be provided.  This event is for existing tutors and those who might be interested in attending a future volunteer orientation!

Come enjoy a night of music and dancing courtesy Dave Gardino and his “Starlight Orchestra” featuring Tom Chute, plentiful food stations, wine tastings, fabulous live and silent auction items presented by Chris Berman and an out-of-this-world ice cream bar!!!

ESL 102 Training – For registered tutors ONLY

To register for this training please call Denise Calabrese at 203-754-1164 or email dcalabrese@waterburyct.org no later than Wednesday, January 22.  This training is meant for tutors who have already attended our tutor orientation and ESL 101 training.  If you have not had the opportunity to do so please call Denise to schedule a meeting before attending this training.

Join us for a Pre-Valentine’s Day celebration and come make your very own chocolate bar for only $10!

50% of all proceeds from this event will help support Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury. We hope to see you there as this event is sure to be tons of fun for the whole family 🙂
